Content for Siebel
Business Need
Siebel enables organisations to manage, co-ordinate, and synchronise all customer touchpoints, including the Web, call centre, field, retail, and distribution channels. These transactions result in various forms of content that need to be managed.
The Solution
Fujitsu’s Content for Siebel enables you to integrate Documentum’s eContent Server and Siebel’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, enabling you to manage content from the Siebel user-interface and to link Siebel and Documentum objects. It also enables the publication of content from Siebel into Documentum or from Documentum into Siebel, as well as the processing and approval of content using the workflow and collaboration tools provided in Documentum.
Content for Siebel is an open framework built on industry standards, including COM components, JavaBeans, XML and Web Services. The framework includes a number of adapters that enable integration in virtually any part of Siebel. The adapters include:
- Manage Adapters
- Publish Adapters (XML, PDF, HTML and Word)
- Workflow Adapters
- Disconnect Mode Adapters
- Link Adapters
- Middleware Adapters (webMethods, TIBCO, MQ)
n addition, you can easily create your own adapters and include them in the framework. This enables you to define your own business rules and take advantage of existing customised components.
