Mike Nelson delivered the opening address at the Imaging Channel Conference hosted by PFU
PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Limited, a subsidiary of Fujitsu, successfully hosted their fourth annual partner conference in Monte Carlo, Monaco this past week. The theme of this year's conference was “Capture the Cloud” and focused on how document management and document capture will evolve as companies adopt cloud based platforms and solutions. 270 experts from 42 countries in the EMEA region gathered on the Cote d'Azure from April 11 to 13, 2011. PFU, maker of Fujitsu document scanners, and its affiliates showed an audience composed of distributors, resellers and users how to integrate cloud-based scanner solutions into business processes. Customer case studies provided participants with valuable tips for their own businesses.
The Imaging Channel Conference has become a fixture in the scanner business. This conference was the fourth of its kind, providing manufacturers, distributors, independent software vendors (ISV), dealers and users a detailed view of the world of document management.
Mike Nelson, General Manager Sales EMEA, PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Limited, delineated current market and technology trends in his opening presentation. He devoted particular emphasis to the success of PFU's Channel Community model in actively growing the market for professional document management scanners and creating new business opportunities for PFU's partners. The connection between document capture, document management and cloud computing was the theme running through the main presentations and the panel discussion. Other presentations centered on the roadmap for Fujitsu document scanners, the Imaging Channel partner program of PFU and current market trends for scanners.
“Our fourth annual Imaging Channel Conference was a resounding success,” said Douglas Rudolph, General Manager Marketing EMEA, PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Limited. “The event has become the premier meeting place for executives in the document imaging market to get together and to discuss partnerships and business trends. This year's theme was especially critical as our reseller channel is looking to position and integrate document management and document imaging technology with their customers focus on virtualization and cloud based solutions. We have already received tremendous feedback from our partners that this is the type of information they need to grow their business.”
This year, PFU once again cited particularly successful partners and projects in four categories with the Fujitsu Imaging Channel Award. And the winners are:
