Style, Security and Convenience In An Ultra Portable Notebook – Fujitsu’s New LifeBook S7000 Series
Singapore, 26 November 2004 — Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today launched two LifeBook notebooks from their S7000 series - the slim and stylish LifeBook S7011 and S7010. Both LifeBook models have been enhanced with AuthenTec TruePrintT Technology, ensuring accurate fingerprint recognition. The LifeBook S7011 is packed with multimedia features making it perfect for work and play while the S7010 offers high-end functionality for corporate professionals.
With its 14-inch SuperFine XGA screen and built-in Combo drive, the LifeBook S7011 is ideal for movie-viewing and multimedia playback. The S7011 also supports DVD Super Multi drive for reading and writing of common DVD formats. A media playback panel above the keyboard enhances the multimedia experience, allowing users to conveniently play, pause, stop and skip through media in the Combo drive.
Designed for style-conscious executives, the LifeBook S7011 has one of the smallest footprints for a notebook with a 14-inch screen and weighs less then two kilograms. Recognising corporate users’ need for enhanced security, Fujitsu has also included fingerprint recognition technology in the S7011 to encrypt confidential files and folders and prevent unauthorised access.

Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific also announced today that the LifeBook S7010, initially introduced earlier this year, has been enhanced with the latest Intel® technology, increased memory capabilities and equipped with fingerprint recognition technology for greater security. Gone were the days of remembering multiple passwords as a swipe of a finger is all its takes for instant access to confidential files and data.
To ensure maximum comfort for users, the LifeBook S7011 and S7010 are ergonomically designed with full-sized keyboards and comfortable palm rests. The touchpad is also easily configurable to function as a directional navigation device; a simple tap is all it takes to scroll through a document or to navigate back and forth between web pages.
Fast access to digital media is made easy with the Secure Digital/Memory Stick PRO (SD/MS PRO) card slot located at the front of the LifeBook S7011. Three USB ports also facilitate fast plug and play of USB peripherals. In addition, the LifeBook S7011 can also connect to the television via the optional mini S-video port for high-definition video output.
Providing style with strength and durability, the LifeBook S7011 is cased in black magnesium alloy, while the S7010 is sheathed in Fujitsu’s signature silver. Both the S7011 and the S7010 are built upon Intel® Centrino™ Mobile Technology with Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection1 for faster wireless access to data.
Warranty and Availability
The LifeBook S7011 and S7010 are available from retailers nationally from December 2004. Both models come with the standard Fujitsu’s three-year warranty2.
