Latest Additions to Fujitsu’s Lightweight, Full Featured P Series Pack a Punch

Award Winning Ultra Portable Arrives in Singapore

Singapore, 4 June 2002 — In response to overwhelming consumer demand, Fujitsu today announced the release of the LifeBook P2110 – successor of the LifeBook P2040 which was named “Best Notebook” and overall “Best of Show” at COMDEX Fall 2001*. With its ultra-compact form factor, high-performance processing power and entertainment functionality, the LifeBook P Series delivers a mobile solution perfect for both work and play.

LifeBook P2110

Portable Entertainment Companion with Widespread Appeal
Users can save their favourite movies and view them on the bus, train or anywhere they go using the LifeBook P2110's large storage capacity and integrated Combo Drive (DVD/CD-R/RW). Watching movies and presentations is a joy on the vivid Super XGA wide screen. The bundled VGA adaptor enables users to share their favourite videos with friends and family by connecting to any projection system. At just 4cm thin and weighing 1.5kg (with Combo Drive), this notebook was created to be the personal entertainment companion for work and leisure.

Sophisticated Internal and External Design
Encased in a durable yet sleek magnesium alloy casing, the futuristic, smooth metallic finish and sexy curves of the CoolSilver exterior barely hint at the powerful technology hidden within. At the heart of the LifeBook P2110 lies a Transmeta Crusoe™, energy-conserving processor that delivers 867MHz. The LifeBook P2110 also comes with integrated modem, network ready capability and IEEE 1394 (FireWire) technology. Users can avail themselves of FireWire’s high data-transfer speed of up to 400Mbps (more than 30 times the bandwidth of the popular USB peripheral standard) and "hot plug-and-play" capability to transfer movies, presentations, spreadsheets and photos in a flash.

With a battery life of up to 3.6 hours** on a standard lithium ion battery pack, and up to 7.2 hours** with the optional extended battery pack, users need not worry about the power running low in the course of watching their favourite DVD. The notebook’s Transmeta CrusoeTM processor also conserves energy while rendering full processing power in battery-mode. Those requiring extended battery life can install an optional second bay battery for dual battery usage, optimizing computing time.
