"We are able to provide absolute mobility to our students and academics thanks to our technology partner Fujitsu."
Melike Beykoz, Director of IT, İstanbul Bilgi University
‘Non scholae, sed vitae discimus’ – ‘Learning not for school but for life’ is the motto of İstanbul Bilgi University. The university was founded in 1996 and is comprised of six faculties, five institutes, five professional and three vocational schools, which together constitute 25,000 students and 1,000 academics who take part in over 150 undergraduate, graduate and associate degree programs. The university is also the only member in Turkey of one of the world’s most advanced international education networks, Laureate International Universities.
İstanbul Bilgi University wanted to upgrade its existing Fujitsu IT environment and replace it with a more powerful, agile platform that would enable research to be completed more quickly.
The university worked with Fujitsu to deploy a combination of Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers and Fujitsu ETERNUS storage for a flexible, high-performing and cost-effective computing infrastructure.
