World-Class Performance Technology
The BroadOne WX300 macrocell base station owes its outstanding levels of performance to pioneering Fujitsu technology. It is based on gallium nitride (GaN) High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) technology that delivers key performance advances when compared with conventional semiconductors:

• Higher transconductance
• Improved linearity
• Improved thermal management
• Higher cutoff frequencies

These base stations offer significant cost benefits for installation and maintenance. The units are so small and light they weigh less than the OSHA single-installer limit. As a result, it’s easier, cheaper and quicker to put them into service or take them down for maintenance work.

Three Macrocell Configurations
The BroadOne WX300 Macrocell base station is available in three configurations:

• Standalone
• Multi-sector - The platform is scalable up to three sector configurations by connecting additional units to the first BroadOne WX300. The master unit provides timing and capacity aggregation to provide an extremely flexible system.
• Split architecture - When multiple forms of redundancy are needed, Fujitsu offers a dual architecture that combines an indoor baseband and an outdoor RF head macrocell base station for wide-area transmission. In the future, an indoor compact base station will also be available.
