  The Fujitsu MB86C30 USB3.0 external storage solution is the bridge IC that connects USB3.0 and ATA/ATAPI devices together. It delivers super high speed data transfer of up to 5Gbps between the host PC and SATA storage devices such as HDDs, SSDs, DVDs and CDs. It complies with Universal Serial Bus Specification 3.0 Revision 1.0 and is backward compatible with Universal Serial Bus Specification Revision 2.0. The MB86C30 IC integrates SATA, USB Links, PHYs, a high performance 32-bit RISC processor, a hardwired encryption block, SRAM, and common interfaces to communicate and respond to requests from the USB host.
