DESCRIPTION

The MB89860/50 series has been developed as a general-purpose version of the F²MC-8L(F²MC stands for FUJITSU Flexible Microcontroller) family consisting of proprietary 8-bit, single-chip, microcontrollers. In addition to the F²MC-8L CPU core which can operate at low voltage but at high speed, the microcontrollers contain a variety of peripheral functions such as a timer unit, PWM timers, a UART, a serial interface, a 10-bit A/D converter, and an external interrupt. The MB89860/50 series is applicable to a wide range of applications from welfare products to industrial equipment, including portable devices.

  • An asynchronous clock or a synchronous serial transfer can be used.
• 8-bit serial I/O: Switchable transfer direction allows communication with various equipment.

  • Conversion time: 13.2µs
  • Activation by an external input or a timer unit capable
• External interrupt: Four channels are independent and capable of wake-up from low-power consumption modes (with an edge detection function).
• Low-power consumption modes
  
  • Stop mode (Oscillation stops to minimize the current consumption.)
  • Sleep mode (The CPU stops to reduce the current consumption to approx. 1/3 of normal.)
• Bus interface functions including hold and ready functions
• Timer unit
  
  • Outputs non-overlap three-phase waveforms to control an AC inverter motor.
  • Also usable as a PWM timer (4 channels)

Not all these features are supported by the MB89863.
