Sunnyvale, CA, May 5, 2009 – Fujitsu Components America, Inc. today announced it is developing new electromechanical relays to target Alternative Energy Markets. The company is initially offering two high-voltage, high-current, high-insulation power relays and one low-profile, power latching relay for energy management applications in solar powered systems and smart power meters.
Sunnyvale, CA, February 4, 2008 – Fujitsu Components America, Inc. has released the market’s smallest 40A, high-temperature-grade automotive printed circuit board relay. Capable of switching heavy loads such as for power outlets, fan motors, electronic power steering and starters, the FBR53-HW relay replaces larger plug-in relays to conserve PCB weight and real estate in Electronic Control Units.
Sunnyvale, CA, January 23, 2006 – Fujitsu Components America, Inc. today announced the release of a fourth-generation, ultra-miniature automotive relay for motor applications. The new relay is a slim device that is 28% smaller than its third-generation predecessor, the FTR-P3.

Green Design Relays
By design, latching relays with a permanent magnet are inherently energy efficient. They require no standby power after an initial short energy pulse initiates operation to open the switch, nor do they require driving power during operation or recovery.
Though small, this operating efficiency, when repeated thousands of times over, has the potential to reduce the amount of CO2 into the atmosphere and help prevent global warming. Using an innovative bridge-type magnetic circuit, Fujitsu’s JSL series relays have an even more efficient attraction and repulsion force that further reduces environmental impact.
