Optical Storage - Replacement Program

United States resident end user customers who are the original purchasers of selected storage products covered under the Limited Warranty may be eligible to participate in FCPA's Replacement Program. Under this program, in the unlikely event of a product defect, FCPA will replace the product, generally within two (2) business days.

The Replacement Program is only available to end users who have purchased a Fujitsu Storage Product for personal or business use, and not for resale.

There are two options to choose from:

Standard Exchange - Once an RMA Number is issued, the end user should package and ship the malfunctioning product, per FCPA's then current Packaging & Shipping Guidelines, to FCPA's Warranty Center. The product must be received by FCPA within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date the RMA was issued. The end user will receive a replacement product generally within two (2) business days of FCPA's receipt and validation of the warranty for the malfunctioning product.

No credit card is needed to secure the replacement product. FCPA suggests the method of shipment be Federal Express, UPS or another freight carrier which tracks individual shipments. FCPA does not assume responsibility for the product during shipment from the customer's site to FCPA.

Advance Replacement - Alternatively, an end user who wishes to obtain a replacement product before returning a defective product will be able to do this by providing valid credit card charge information. A replacement product will then be shipped to the end user, at FCPA's expense, generally within two (2) business days after issuance of the RMA.

The end user's credit card will be charged the list price for the replacement product only if the malfunctioning product is not returned and received by FCPA's Warranty Center within ten (10) calendar days after the issuance date of the RMA. Once the customer receives the replacement product, the defective product must be returned in the packaging utilized to ship the replacement product. A prepaid shipment packing slip will be included with the replacement product.

All products shipped to FCPA must have the RMA Number clearly marked on the outside of the packaging to ensure proper receipt and to obtain credit for the returned product.

The Program does not apply to products that fall under any of FCPA's then current Warranty Exclusions, including a purchaser's failure to return defective products to FCPA in compliance with FCPA's then current Packaging and Shipping Guidelines. Replacement Program products assume the remainder of the Limited Warranty period applicable to the defective product or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer. All Limited Warranty terms and conditions applicable to the FCPA products are detailed in this booklet. This Program is only available in the U.S. for products purchased from authorized FCPA distributors.

Neither the Replacement Program nor any other FCPA warranty program provides service for any damage outside the scope of the Limited Warranty.
