If you utilize one of these companies for your data recovery needs, FCPA will not void your products warranty related to this activity. In all other instances, FCPA will void the product's warranty if, when returned, it exhibits tampering and/or alterations (Please see our warranty exclusions statement).

Cause of Data Loss
Data loss can result from many causes. These can include virus attacks, system malfunction, or human error in the handling or installation of the drive. Fujitsu highly recommends that users take standard measures to protect their data, the most important of which are frequent and regular backups, and diagnostic checks of your drives. Fujitsu Computer Products of America does not warrant any form of data loss.
Data Recovery Service
Fujitsu Computer Products of America does not itself perform data recovery services, nor does it recommend or authorize any specific data recovery company or its services. Some companies that provide this service are listed below. This list is provided, as is, solely for your information. To obtain information on these services, we request that you contact the respective data recovery service vendor directly. You should carefully read the terms of service before you deliver your drive to a data recovery service provider.

Warranty Status
To retain the warranty status of your drive, you should ensure that the recognized data recovery company you pick provides you with written notice, on their company letterhead, that they have performed data recovery services on that drive. Fujitsu Computer Products of America reserves the last right of refusal regarding the warranty status of the drive.
Fujitsu Computer Products of America will not be liable in any way for the loss of data contained on a Fujitsu hard disk or other recordable media. Customers are urged to back up their data before returning a Fujitsu computer, hard disk drive or other recordable media product for repair by Fujitsu Computer Products of America, whether or not the repair is covered by warranty. In the event any liability is not fully excludable under applicable law, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
