Fujitsu Announces World's First 300GB 2.5" Hard Disk Drive

Sunnyvale, CA, December 11, 2006 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced as part of a coordinated global launch the MHX2300BT series of mobile hard disk drives (HDDs). The newest Fujitsu products feature impressive storage capacities of 250GB and 300GB, the first 2.5" PMR hard disk drives in the industry to attain these high levels of capacity. The MHX2300BT series will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2007.

Fujitsu Develops Optical Element for Thermal Assisted Magnetic Recording

Sunnyvale, CA, November 28, 2006 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that Fujitsu has developed a multi-layered optical element for thermal assisted magnetic recording. Using this optical element, engineers were able to achieve a sub-hundred nanometer (nm) optical spot size, which is considered an enabling element for the successful deployment of one terabit per square inch recording technology for hard disk drives. This groundbreaking development was presented during the International Symposium on Optical Memory (ISOM) in Japan this past October.

Fujitsu Announces Another Successful Quarter for Hard Disk Drive Shipments

Sunnyvale, CA, November 1, 2006 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced its hard disk drive shipment results for the third calendar quarter. During this timeframe, shipment of Fujitsu enterprise hard disk drives (HDDs) exceeded 1.8 million units, resulting in an impressive 50 percent surge over the same period last year. On the mobile side, shipment of HDD products reached 5.54M units, an increase of nearly 12 percent from the same quarter in the previous year.

Fujitsu Announces Hard Disk Drive Shipment Results For Second Calendar Quarter of 2006

Sunnyvale, CA, July 31, 2006 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced its second quarter hard disk drive shipment results. During the second quarter, Fujitsu shipments of mobile hard disk drives (HDDs) surpassed 5.24M units, an increase of nearly 18% over the same quarter in 2005. In addition, strong execution on the enterprise side resulted in a significant improvement of 18% from the previous quarter, with shipments of enterprise HDDs totaling 1.42M units.
