Fujitsu Achieves Number Two Position In Enterprise Hard Disk Drive Market

San Jose, CA, December 11, 2001 – Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), one of the world's leading suppliers of hard drives and computer peripherals, today announced that Fujitsu now holds the number two position in the enterprise hard disk drive (HDD) market.  According to new data released by Gartner Dataquest, Fujitsu became the world's second largest supplier of enterprise drive technology by shipping 21.3 percent of the total number of enterprise-class HDDs delivered during the third calendar quarter of 2001. Fujitsu increased its shipments of enterprise-class HDDs by more than 27 percent from the second to the third calendar quarter of 2001.
