VRS 4.2 Professional PFU OEM Bundle Patch

Supported Scanner Models

• fi-5750C, fi-5650C, fi-5530C2, fi-4340C, fi-6130, fi-6230, fi-6140, fi-6240

Modifications

1. Addition of VRS Desktop Productivity function
   
   • Scan to desktop
     - Scanning from the desktop and the context menu of the specified foler is enabled.
   • Scan to e-mail
     - The addition of VRS button to E-mail (Microsoft® Outlook 2003 / XP/ 2007 or Lotus Notes 6.x) enables scanning and attaching the image without using another scanner application.
2. Delete Blank Pages
   The function to delete the blank page when using Image Control application is supported.
3. Addition of the supported file formats
   The follwing file formats to save are newly supported.
   
   • .png, .gif, .dcx, .lzw
4. Improvement on TWAIN application
   UI when using TWAIN application is modified in order to improve the usability.

Notice

This patch is only applied to the VRS4.1 Professional which is bundled with our FUJITSU scanners. Note that this patch cannot be applied to VRS4.1 Basic.

How to use

1. Begin by logging in as an "Administrator".
2. Download "VRS4.2 Professional Patch" onto your computer's desktop and then proceed to activate it. (Make sure that VRS4.1 is not running when you do this.)
3. An "Update" dialogue box will inform you when the "VRS4.2 Professional Patch" update has been completed.

Service Pack 2 and Installation Guide download

VRS4.1 OEM Bundle Service Pack2 and Installation Guide download

Modifications

1. Windows Vista™ support
   Supported OS: Windows Vista™ Business (32bit) / Windows Vista™ Enterprise (32bit)
2. Punched hole removal (Dongle maybe required or Professional version).
   Detects and removes punched hole marks from scanned images.

Note: Explanations relating to other "Service Pack" corrections can be found in " README".

How to use Service Pack 2

1. Begin by logging in as an "Administrator".
2. Download "SP2 ( vrs_4.1_sp2_pfu_oem_bundle.exe)" onto your computer's desktop.
3. Refer to README "2. Precautions" when installing VRS from Vista Enterprise / Business.
4. Proceed to execute the setup.exe of the downloaded SP2. (Make sure that VRS4.1 is not running when you do this.)
5. Follow instructions from installer window and proceed.
6. An "Update" dialogue box will inform you when the "SP2 update has been completed.

2. Download "SP1 ( vrs410update0.1.exe)" onto your computer's desktop and then proceed to activate it.
   (Make sure that VRS4.1 is not running when you do this.)
3. An "Update" dialogue box will inform you when the "SP1" update has been completed.
