Both scanners offer duplex scanning at fast speeds with unmatched paper-handling capabilities. Co-developed by Kofax Image Products and Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., this is the second-generation of VRS. Thanks in part to new Kofax Iridium&Trade; ASIC technology, all of the functionality of the original VRS grayscale adapter - plus several enhancements - have been squeezed onto a single chip. This increases speed as well as lowering cost. Second-generation VRS now uses a wide SCSI III scanner-to-PC interface, which combines the high-speed data transfer of a video interface with the widely adopted SCSI standard. Together, Fujitsu's new M4097D and M4099D scanners with the ScanRight VRS option offer state-of-the-art image processing and increased productivity.
