ProMed Patient Registration Scanning Application with PalmSecure

ProMed Patient Registration Scanning Application is designed to capture important documents at patient registration time (driver’s license, insurance card, referral notices, etc.) and integrate them with a patient’s medical records with any Healthcare Information Management System eliminating any additional data entry.

The ProMed for Patient Registration Scanning Application now supports Fujitsu PalmSecure, and can be used to biometrically validate patient identification and automate the check-in process. The PalmSecure device ensures highly accurate identity authentication, and thereby enabling the combined solution to combat medical identity theft and insurance fraud. PalmSecure is perfectly suited for the healthcare environment since it requires minimal physical contact and is an excellent enhancement to the ProMed Patient Registration Scanning Application.

The ProMed Patient Registration with PalmSecure can also be used to shorten the registration process for frequent and returning patients by using a patient registration kiosk. Returning patients can be registered by the PalmSecure and their record automatically pulled from the Health Information System and displayed for the next available registration staff member.
