Dresser Wayne and Fujitsu Announce Strategic Alliance to Offer Chevron and Texaco Branded Retailers the Wayne Nucleus

Austin, TX, June 21, 2005 — Dresser Wayne, a business unit of Dresser, Inc., announced today a strategic alliance with Fujitsu to make the Nucleus Point of Sale Software solution available to all Chevron and Texaco Retailers. Going forward, Chevron's Nucleus solution will be offered for purchase from Wayne for both Chevron and Texaco retailers and will also be the only long-term option for those retailers who prefer to lease a system from Chevron. Already the preferred provider for Chevron's company-owned locations, the Wayne Nucleus system on Fujitsu hardware is a proven solution for all US trade classes. Today, Nucleus is installed in over 3,700 Chevron and Texaco sites.

To meet the growing needs of retailers, open-architected systems like Nucleus, provide many opportunities for enhancing the software without having to change out the hardware. With Nucleus, a retailer can select the level of functionality required to meet the needs of their business and pay only for the software features that are right for them. Touchscreen, unlimited price book size and remote diagnostics are all standard features that Nucleus provides today.
