| WHAT/WHY: | Microsoft Booth #602 Fujitsu and Klever Marketing will demo the recently announced U-Scan Shopper, a wireless shopping cart system with built-in computer that that empowers shoppers with store information and scan-as-you-shop convenience as they move through a store. The demo will illustrate how the U-Scan Shopper integrates with a retailer's point-of-sale hardware and software. It will feature the cart and Fujitsu's TeamPoS 2000 point-of-sale system with GlobalSTORE software platform. Experts will be on hand to provide background and commentary. The system's wide range of on-cart information and services includes:
Epson Booth #1702 Fujitsu also will demo its U-Scan self-checkout system and recently announced Wireless Mobile Attendant at the Epson booth. Fujitsu's U-Scan 1 model will be on display and experts will be on hand to discuss self-checkout trends and issues. The Wireless Mobile Attendant employs Fujitsu?s iPAD handheld unit and enables a single store associate to support as many as six U-Scan lanes at once, while continuing to serve customers. |
