Fujitsu to Present at Lehman Brothers Worldwide Wireless and Wireline Conference
New York, NY, May 21, 2008 — Fujitsu Network Communications, a leading supplier of innovative optical and wireless networking solutions, announced
today that Rod Naphan, vice president of product and strategic planning, will be presenting at the upcoming Lehman Brothers Worldwide Wireless and Wireline Conference.
Naphan will describe how Fujitsu remains a leading provider of innovative optical and wireless networking solutions. In addition,
he will provide details about the dynamic optical networking market and discuss specific goals and initiatives for Fujitsu,
including the market drivers for Packet Optical Networking Platforms (Packet ONPs).

Rod Naphan, vice president of product and strategic planning at Fujitsu, is the architect of the Fujitsu packet optical networking
vision and associated product portfolio. He and his organization are leading the definition of the next generation of optical
networking product—the Packet Optical Networking Platform.
Rod has broad experience in the design and planning of optical networking equipment. During his 13-year tenure with Fujitsu,
he has held various leadership roles in software and systems engineering, and was program manager for the FLASHWAVE®
4000 MSPP series product development in North America. Prior to joining Fujitsu, he worked as a software engineer within the
SONET transmission division at Bell Northern Research.
Rod holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Computing and Computer Electronics from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a
Master of Science degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
