Fujitsu Releases Latest 10Gbps Ethernet Tech Backgrounder; Addresses Design Challenges and Opportunities
Sunnyvale, California, May 17, 2007 — Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) released its latest technical backgrounder, “Benefits of the MB8AA3020 20-Port, 10GbE Switch Chip in the Data Center”.
The paper emphasizes the capabilities of the Fujitsu 20-port, 10GbE switch chip to support server virtualization and the bladed server environment through congestion management, Quality of Service, VLAN virtualization and Physical layer attributes.
The Fujitsu MB8AA3020 switch chip was designed for ATCA, MicroTCA, advanced network server, blade server and storage applications.
Luan Nguyen, staff application engineer for Fujitsu Microelectronics America and author of the backgrounder, will be at the Fujitsu booth (#1931) at Interop Las Vegas 2007 to discuss design challenges and opportunities with using the 20-port, 10GbE switch chip.
