Fujitsu Enters New Reseller Agreement with silex technology america for Fingerprint Authentication Solutions

Sunnyvale, CA, September 20, 2004 — Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) and silex technology america, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of silex technology, Inc., have entered into a new reseller agreement under which FMA’s sales force will market silex fingerprint authentication products throughout North and South America.

Silex technology, Inc., a world leader in biometric identity-verification solutions, has years of experience developing advanced biometric solutions for government, commercial and personal applications that incorporate the Fujitsu MBF200 single-touch fingerprint sensor.

Fujitsu and silex technology, Inc. have successfully worked together for more than three years building biometric devices in Japan. These products include the FUS-200N USB peripheral, the FIC-200 PCMCIA fingerprint reader card for notebook computers, and the MUSB200-COMBO, which combines a USB peripheral with a smart card reader for matching biometric templates on smart cards. All silex devices meet FCC/CE and UL certification requirements. They are available with Microsoft® Windows WHQL certified device drivers, allowing for reliable integration into network applications with Windows 2000 and XP computers.
