Fujitsu Microelectronics America to Introduce 32-Bit MCUs, Auto Graphics Display Controllers at Embedded Systems Conference, June 3-6, Booth 224

Features first look at MB91367G/MB91368G 32-bit MCUs with CAN interface

San Jose, CA, June 3, 2002 — The newest 32-bit microcontroller and vehicle navigation display controllers will be shown by Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA) at the Embedded Systems Conference in Rosemont, Illinois, June 3-6.

FMA will occupy booth 224, with the latest in controllers for vehicle navigation systems, which include capabilities that provide two-and three-dimensional rendering, a flexible layering architecture designed especially for vehicle graphics, and support for screen resolution up to XGA (1,024 x 768).

FMA introduced its MB86290A "Cremson" and MB86291 "Scarlet" auto graphics controllers last December. The newest version is the MB86292 "Orchid," which provides all the basic capabilities included in the Scarlet version, and adds a memory interface that can link up to 32 MB of SDRAM or Fast Cycle RAM (FCRAM™) to meet memory-intensive requirements.

New 32-Bit RISC-Based MCUs with CAN Interface
The company also will introduce its latest 32-bit RISC-based microcontrollers, with built-in Controller Area Network (CAN) interface for optimizing high-speed real-time control in automotive metering systems. The new MB91367G and MB91368G, which are available now, offer two CAN controllers and other peripherals to meet various automotive and industrial functionality requirements.

Fujitsu provides 16-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers for dashboard instrument panels, window controls, GPS, door locks, interior lighting, airbags, anti-lock bakes, air conditioning, and vehicle stereo systems. The company also offers embedded solutions for consumer electronics, communications, PC peripherals and industrial control.
