New Bolt Direct Bridges the Communication Lines Between Fujitsu Network Scanners and Laserfiche for Government, Healthcare, and Financial Institutions

Sunnyvale, CA, August 11, 2011 — More than 30k organizations worldwide rely on Laserfiche® content management for everything from business process management to compliance. Increasingly those users are turning to network attached scanning devices for all or part of their capture process. Yet to be effective, the network scanner needs to deliver high quality scanning that is simple, easy to use, and more importantly, affordable. That’s why Fujitsu and Bolt Document Management have introduced a new connector application developed for Laserfiche content management systems called Bolt Direct.

Bolt Direct bridges the communication lines between Fujitsu network scanners and Laserfiche, eliminating the need for an expensive and complicated connector server. It runs on the Fujitsu ScanSnap N1800 Network Scanner and Fujitsu ScanSnap Network fi-6010N iScanner providing users with a simpler way to scan, name, index, and route documents directly to Laserfiche in real time. The combination of Bolt Direct and Fujitsu network scanners save Laserfiche users thousands of dollars over other network attached capture solutions without compromising superior scan quality and ease-of-use.
