Fujitsu Selects Altec for Quarterly Innovative Leadership Award


Sunnyvale, CA, August 29, 2007 —  Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced its recognition of Altec, Inc., a leading provider of integrated document management and workflow solutions for small-to-mid-market companies, as the recipient of the quarterly Fujitsu Innovative Leadership Award. Altec was selected for its progressive document imaging implementation at Milgard Windows and Doors, and the resulting improvements in overall workflow.

Each quarter the Innovative Leadership Award is given to independent software vendors (ISV) and hardware vendors (IHV) that successfully leverage Fujitsu imaging products to optimize business processes and improve customers’ bottom line. Altec’s selection was based on their deployment of doc-link™, an integrated document management solution using the Fujitsu fi-4340C scanners. The deployment streamlined Milgard Windows’ workflow from customer service to purchase order processing and accounts payable, and according to Milgard, resulted in a significant overall efficiency improvement for these departments.

By installing doc-link for Milgard customer service representatives, Altec enabled personnel to keep pertinent documents at their fingertips, and ultimately better service Milgard’s clients. The paperless processing system eliminates filing, decreases downtime, and reduces staffing costs.
