Junior Seau Foundation Elects Fujitsu Senior Vice President Lorne Wilson as Newest Board Member
Sunnyvale, CA, May 31, 2007 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and Ethernet switches, today announced that Lorne Wilson has been elected to the Junior Seau Foundation board of directors. Junior Seau’s Foundation is recognized as one of the largest professional athlete non-profit foundations in the United States by the Wall Street Journal. The San Diego organization focuses on inspiring and empowering youth through educational and recreational support programs that enable them to face life’s challenges with hope and optimism.

Junior Seau, one of the most highly acclaimed linebackers in NFL history, created the Junior Seau Foundation in 1992 to raise funds and resources for programs that help to inspire young people to overcome life’s challenges, and realize their full potential. The mission of the Foundation is to educate and improve the lives of young people through the support of child abuse prevention efforts, recreational opportunities, drug and alcohol awareness, anti-juvenile delinquency programs, and complimentary educational programs. The Junior Seau Foundation sponsors many programs throughout the year to benefit communities and raise money, including "Shop With a Jock™," "Thanksgiving at Seau’s Restaurant," "The Teammates Luncheon," and "The Annual Junior Seau Celebrity Golf Classic."
Lorne is a senior executive in the computer industry, and has nearly 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management. Throughout his career, he has consistently been acknowledged for his leadership and for significantly expanding Fujitsu’s business over the past 10 years. In addition, he has been awarded the Computer Reseller News (CRN) Channel Chief status for 2002 through 2006 by CMP Media. Lorne’s efforts at Fujitsu secured a Five-Star rating from VARBusiness Magazine as one of North America’s top information-technology (IT) vendors. Lorne will utilize his business expertise to help the Junior Seau Foundation broaden its reach by building upon its strategy, helping it to expand and subsequently enhance even more lives of the youth from San Diego’s communities.
