Fujitsu to Demonstrate New Award-Winning ScanSnap Scanner at Macworld 2007
Sunnyvale, CA, January 3, 2007 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced it will give hands-on product demonstrations of its new ScanSnap™ S500M scanning solution at MacworldTM 2007 in San Francisco, January 9-12, 2007. The Fujitsu ScanSnap, a Macworld 2006 Eddy Award winner, is one of the only single-pass duplex automatic document feeding (ADF) scanner available today that addresses the Apple® community’s document imaging needs.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap S500M provides the Macintosh® community with a powerful, affordable, and easy-to-use color scanner that allows business professionals to quickly convert paper documents to Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are easily organized, shared and better protected. The resulting PDF documents can be stored in a Mac® hard drive file system or a network location creating an organized, collaborative electronic filing structure. The Fujitsu ScanSnap, supporting Mac OS® X v10.4 Tiger™, has a compact, upright, “one-button” design and comes equipped with a 50-page ADF that allows users to scan at speeds up to 18 pages per minute (PPM) for single-sided documents and 36 images per minute (IPM) for double-sided documents. It is one of the fastest, single-pass duplex ADF scanners available today that address the Apple community’s document imaging needs.
