Fujitsu to Demonstrate Serial Hard Disk Drive Technology at Storage Networking World Fall

Sunnyvale, CA, October 30, 2006 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that it will demonstrate its leading 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) and small form factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drives inside market-ready storage systems at Storage Networking World (SNW) Fall, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2006 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, FL.

Constant change within system requirements has created increased demand for flexibility and scalability in storage solutions. To illustrate how Fujitsu has met these demands, the company will be showcasing its high-performance SAS-based storage solutions. Fujitsu will display both 2.5" SAS and SATA hard disk drives in a single infrastructure illustrating a tiered storage configuration and highlighting the performance, scalability, capacity and power that is enabled through interchangeable storage systems and drives. Fujitsu will also showcase an 8TB SATA HDD-based system demonstrating the lower power and increased storage density available in today’s market.
