Fujitsu Demonstrates Mobile Serial Interoperability Applications at SATA-IO Plugfest
Sunnyvale, CA, October 2, 2006 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced that it will participate in Serial ATA (SATA)-IO Plugfest #7, Oct. 2-5, 2006 in Milpitas, Calif.
Fujitsu looks forward to participating in this event for the seventh consecutive year. The Plugfest will focus on the preparation and verification of new SATA features being productized over the next 12 months, including but not limited to: 3 Gb/s electrical and Phy parameter testing, ATAPI device functional testing, server and enclosure services, and mobile device interoperability.
Fujitsu has established itself as a Serial technology pioneer, delivering the industry’s first 2.5" SATA hard disk drive (HDD). Since bringing this to market, Fujitsu has continued to advance HDD technology with higher capacity and performance drives, further bridging the gap between desktop and notebook computing.
