Fujitsu To Showcase Eddy Award-Winning ScanSnap Scanner at MacWorld 2006 in San Francisco
Sunnyvale, CA, December 21, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, will give hands-on product demonstrations of its new ScanSnap™ fi-5110EOXM scanning solution at Macworld™ 2006, in San Francisco, January 9-13. The Fujitsu ScanSnap, a Macworld 2005 Editors' Choice (Eddy) Award winner in the 'Breakthrough Products' category and recipient of a MacDirectory® five-star review rating, is the only single-pass duplex automatic document feeding (ADF) scanner available today that addresses the Apple® community's document imaging needs.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution is the company's first scanner compatible with the Mac OS® X platform. An Adobe® Acrobat® 7.0 Standard software bundle ($299 value - U.S. list) provides Apple® customers with a powerful, affordable, and easy-to-use color scanning solution that quickly converts paper documents to searchable Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are easily organized, shared and better protected. The resulting PDF documents can be stored in a Mac® hard drive file system or a network location creating an organized, collaborative electronic filing structure. The Fujitsu ScanSnap has a compact, upright,"one-button" design and comes equipped with a 50-page ADF that allows users to scan at speeds up to 15 pages per minute (PPM) for single-sided documents and 30 images per minute (IPM) for double-sided documents. It is the first and only high-speed, double-sided color scanner priced under $500. CES attendees can see live product demonstrations of the PalmSecure™ biometric authentication solution, the industry leading XG Series 10Gb Ethernet Switches, state-of-the-art hard disk drive storage solutions, and Magneto-Optical (MO) removable storage solutions as well as breakthrough new products for storage management and internet optimization.
