Fujitsu to Demonstrate Scanning and Removable Storage Solutions at RSNA 2005

Sunnyvale, CA, November 21, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners, services and removable storage solutions, today announced that it will demonstrate several of its feature-rich document imaging scanning solutions and ultraportable removable storage drives at the 91st Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting, Nov. 27 – Dec. 2, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

For years Fujitsu has offered its customers a variety of scanning solutions and service options to help simplify business processes, minimize operational costs, improve records management for regulatory compliance, enhance document security, and increase company productivity. At RSNA 2005, Fujitsu will showcase several of its top-selling scanners that benefit the healthcare community with fast color scan speeds, authentic image quality, user convenience, and excellent software bundles. All Fujitsu scanners also offer best in class paper-handling with capabilities such as standard duplex scanning, automatic paper size detection, blank page removal, and card scanning (i.e., identification cards, business cards, etc.).

RSNA attendees will be among the first to view the recently announced Fujitsu fi-5120C scanner; the latest addition to the Fujitsu line of top-selling document imaging workgroup scanners. The Fujitsu fi-5120C includes the above mentioned feature sets in addition to ultrasonic double-feed paper detection and embossed card scanning to capture raised lettering on hard plastic cards. Along with the Fujitsu fi-5120C scanner, the Fujitsu fi-5530C, fi-5650C and fi-60f scanners will also be on display.

At the conference Fujitsu will also showcase its cost-effective Magneto-Optical (MO) removable storage solutions. Attendees will get a hands-on look at the robust data storage and archival capabilities of the DynaMO® 2300U2 - a convenient and powerful solution with 2.3GB of removable storage capacity, drag-and-drop file management, and a Hi-Speed USB data interface. Fujitsu will also demonstrate the ultraportable DynaMO 1300 Pocket with DICOM® Viewer, which provides on-the-go medical professionals with an easy way to view and archive ultrasound DICOM images virtually anywhere.

Both solutions utilize Fujitsu MO disk technology. Enclosed in a durable 3.5-inch cartridge, Fujitsu MO disks resist shock, vibration, moisture, dust and magnetic fields. Additionally, the disks have a 50-year* data archival life and are backed by a lifetime Limited Warranty.
