Fujitsu Demonstrates Serial Storage Interoperability at SAS Plugfest
Sunnyvale, CA, September 21, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of hard disk drives and computer peripherals, will demonstrate small form factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive interoperability as well as its 3.5" 15K RPM SAS hard disk drives at the SAS Plugfest, September 26-30 at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory in Durham, NH.
Fujitsu was the first manufacturer to deliver the small form factor Serial platform and showcase interoperability within the SAS system. As a result of its success integrating and testing Serial-based products, Fujitsu has been a key player in the development and organization of SAS Plugfests through coordination with participating vendors and regular SCSI Trade Association committee discussions. The Plugfest is designed to provide a vendor neutral location for cooperative testing to advance an open SAS standard.
