Fujitsu to Showcase Serial Interoperability Technology at SATA-IO Plugfest
Sunnyvale, CA, September 15, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of hard disk drives and computer peripherals, today announced that it will demonstrate its 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive during the SATA-IO Plugfest, held September 20-23 at the Embassy Suites in Milpitas, CA.
The Plugfest is an opportunity for leading manufacturers to test Serial ATA products and assure developers and customers of their interoperability prior to market entry. Fujitsu delivered the world’s first 2.5" Serial ATA mobile hard disk drive used today as the foundation for next-generation mobile and consumer electronic applications. A member of the SATA-IO committee since its inception in 2004, Fujitsu supports the testing and deployment of serial technology for the benefit of end-users and the storage industry
