Fujitsu to Showcase Ultrasound Image Storage & Archival Solutions at AIUM 2005

San Jose, CA, June 17, 2005 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a leading provider of removable storage solutions, today announced that it will showcase the latest in Magneto Optical (MO) removable storage solutions for ultrasound applications at the 50th Annual American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) Convention from June 19-22, in Orlando, FL.

At the conference, Fujitsu will highlight its DynaMO® 1300 Pocket drive with DICOM® Viewer. This ultra-portable storage and archival solution empowers ultrasound and healthcare professionals by enabling easy transportation of DICOM images and data on 3.5" MO disks (MODs) from medical imaging equipment to notebook PCs and workstations for convenient "offline" review. Costing less than a penny per megabyte, Fujitsu MODs are enclosed in a floppy-sized cartridge that protects data from shock, vibration, moisture, dust and magnetic fields with an estimated data archival life of 50 years*. Fujitsu will also demonstrate the robust data storage and transfer capabilities of the Fujitsu DynaMO 2300U2, a 2.3GB removable storage drive with Hi-Speed USB 2.0.
