Fujitsu Honored with Sun Microsystems Best in Class Supplier Award

Hard Disk Drive Group Recognized for Outstanding Product Quality, Performance and Customer Relations

San Jose, CA, September 30, 2004 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world’s leading suppliers of hard disk drives and computer peripherals, today announced it received the Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUNW) Annual Best In Class Supplier Award recognizing the company as a leader in its field. Specifically, the Fujitsu hard disk drive division has been recognized as the leading hard disk drive supplier to Sun Microsystems for the year.

The Sun Microsystems Best In Class Supplier award, announced today in a press release and in the Western and Asian editions of the Wall Street Journal, honors outstanding performance, particularly in the areas of supplier quality, technological innovation, availability and cost effectiveness.
