Fujitsu Continues Low-Volume Production Color Scanner Advancements with High-Speed ADF-Only Introduction

New fi-5650C Scanner Includes Dual Control Panels; Unmatched Performance at Low Industry Price

San Jose, CA, August 02, 2004 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced the introduction of the Fujitsu fi-5650C color, low-volume production scanner -- the company's first-ever automatic document feeder-only (ADF) model in the product segment. Along with its 200-page ADF, the Fujitsu fi-5650C scanner incorporates dual control panels -- for left or right handed scanning flexibility -- while allowing for multiple desktop configurations with its space saving design.  

The Fujitsu fi-5650C scanner combines user versatility, compact design and state of the art technology, all integrated into the recently introduced fi-5750C flatbed production scanner, for a low starting price of $5,995.00 (U.S. list).  

Joining a family of award-winning production scanners, the Fujitsu fi-5650C model combines incredible functionality in a compact footprint -- measuring just 11.5" x 25.2" x 16.9" -- with color, monochrome and landscape scanning ability and onboard JPEG compression. Additionally, the scanner includes ultrasonic double-feed detection technology, a 300-page exit stacker and a daily duty cycle of up to 8,000 pages per day.

FCPA continues to offer its customers with paramount scanning products such as the Fujitsu fi-5650C model with its high-speed dual color CCD arrays to scan both sides of a page in one pass, 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) optical resolution, and scanning speed of up to 57 pages-per-minute (ppm)/114 images-per-minute (ipm) at 200 and 300 dpi in color, grayscale or monochrome, or 71 ppm/142 ipm in landscape mode.  Other key features of the Fujitsu fi-5650C scanner include:
