Fujitsu to Showcase & Raffle Innovative Scanning Solutions at the 2004 California Accounting & Business Show
Award-Winning ScanSnapTM Scanning Solution will be Raffled to Conference Attendees during Fujitsu Drawing
San Jose, CA, June 3, 2004 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced it will be exhibiting and conducting product demonstrations of its award-winning ScanSnap™ scanning solution at the 20th annual 2004 California Accounting & Business Show & Conference in Los Angeles, Calif., June 8-9, at the LAX Hilton Hotel, in booth number 159A. The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution is a compact, upright, one-touch color scanner, allowing users to quickly convert paper documents into searchable PDF files that are easily shared, organized and protected. Additionally, Fujitsu will give away one (1) ScanSnap scanning solution in a lottery contest on the last day of the show. Potential contestants must visit the Fujitsu booth to be eligible for a chance to win.
Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) files have become the defacto file format for corporations within the accounting, banking, education, financial, government, healthcare and manufacturing industries -- all of which have requirements to digitize and store the mass amounts of paper-based information produced on a daily basis. The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution is bundled with Adobe Acrobat® 6.0 Standard software, offering users the features and functionality to create, secure, share, review, and archive PDF files.
Since Fujitsu's first introduction of its ScanSnap scanner in April 2003, the scanning solution has seen significant market growth in its use among businesses within the accounting community. In May 2004, Fujitsu released a new ScanSnap model elevating the original, award-winning scanner with many new features and capabilities, including higher optical resolution, sleek design, faster file handling, authentic Adobe PDF generation, and a range of image quality and software control improvements. Fujitsu's ScanSnap scanning solution, the first and only high-speed, double-sided color scanner under $500, transforms paper into useful digital information at speeds of up to 15 pages per minute (PPM) for single-sided documents and 30 images per minute (IPM) for double-sided documents.
