Fujitsu Introduces New ScanSnap PDF Scanner with Powerful New Features and Performance Enhancements

Fujitsu Brings Quick, Easy Adobe PDF Generation to Business Professionals in New "One-Button" Scanning Solution; $100 Rebate Available Through June

(FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today unveiled the new, highly anticipated Fujitsu ScanSnap™ scanning solution. The new scanner elevates the original, award-winning ScanSnap scanner, introduced last year, with many new features and capabilities, including higher optical resolution, sleek design, Adobe® Acrobat® 6.0 Standard software, faster file handling, authentic Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) generation, and a range of image quality and software control improvements. Additionally, Fujitsu is offering a $100 rebate to all ScanSnap customers through June 30, 2004.  

The Fujitsu ScanSnap solution brings Fujitsu's high-end scanning technology to small- to medium-sized offices and business professionals at an affordable price. The scanner provides the business professional with a simple, fast, easy to use method for converting information contained on paper into digital Adobe PDF files at the touch of a button. The ScanSnap scanner's "one-button" approach eliminates elaborate scanning applications and cumbersome driver interfaces. In addition, its "always on" convenience, connectivity, and amazingly small footprint allows the scanner to sit comfortably aside the business professional in the office.

The Fujitsu ScanSnap scanning solution, the first and only high-speed, double-sided color scanner under $500, incorporates many features and functionalities usually only found in more expensive document scanners.  ScanSnap transforms paper into useful digital information at speeds of up to 15 pages per minute (PPM) for single-sided documents and 30 images per minute (IPM) for double-sided documents.  Multi-page documents containing color, black and white, and text and graphic information on both sides can be processed into authentic, searchable PDF files with the bundled Acrobat 6.0 Standard software.  The resulting PDF documents are stored in the Windows file system on a local PC or network allowing the user to organize, share, protect and interact with this information as they would with any other electronic file.  Other new and innovative features of the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner include:
