Fujitsu to Showcase Innovative Scanning Solutions at Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference 2004

San Jose, CA, April 20, 2004 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced it will be exhibiting and conducting product demonstrations of its award-winning ScanSnap!™ scanning solution and fi-4120C color, duplex workgroup scanner at the Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference 2004 in Orlando, Florida, April 22-23.

Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) files have become the defacto file format for corporations within the banking, education, energy, financial, government, healthcare and manufacturing industries -- all of which have requirements to digitize and store the mass amounts of paper-based information produced on a daily basis. Fujitsu ScanSnap! scanning solutions and fi-4120C workgroup scanners are bundled with Adobe Acrobat® 6.0 Standard software, offering users the features and functionality to create, secure, share, review, and archive PDF files.

Fujitsu introduced the ScanSnap! scanning solution in April 2003, and the scanner has seen significant growth among small, paper-intensive businesses that desire the capability to quickly convert paper documents into searchable PDF files that are easily shared, organized and protected. The Fujitsu ScanSnap! scanner is a compact, upright, one-touch color scanner that simplifies the paper shuffling process, and helps reduce unnecessary operational expenses such as postage, shipping and faxing.

Additionally, the award-winning Fujitsu fi-4120C workgroup-level scanner will also be showcased to demonstrate its front-office scanning functionality for decentralized applications. The scanner is equipped with true 600dpi optical resolution, and offers duplex and color capabilities at speeds up to 25 pages per minute (ppm)/15 images per minute (ipm) at 200dpi monochrome and grayscale, and 25ppm/25ipm at 150dpi full color. Fujitsu's fi-4120C, as well as its entire scanner line, is bundled with Adobe Acrobat 6.0 software.
