Fujitsu Appoints Yoshihiko Masuda New President and CEO of Fujitsu Computer Products of America

San Jose, CA, April 12, 2004 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), one of the world's leading suppliers of hard disk drives, computer peripherals, and document imaging scanners, today announced the appointment of Mr. Yoshihiko Masuda to the position of President and CEO of FCPA.

Mr. Masuda assumes responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the company's sales, marketing, research, support, logistics, product development, finance and administration. Mr. Masuda will continue to build Fujitsu's global support system to effectively improve business communication between US based customers and Fujitsu Japan. He brings with him twenty-three years of experience at Fujitsu with over five years focused exclusively in Fujitsu's international computer and storage products group.

Mr. Masuda has successfully implemented business plans for operation development, marketing and sales, and finance through his work at Fujitsu's headquarters in Japan, Canada and Australia. Prior to joining FCPA, Mr. Masuda served as vice president of Fujitsu Storage Products Group at Fujitsu Limited.
