Fujitsu Awarded "Best Of AIIM 2003" For New fi-4530C Departmental Scanner

Transform Magazine Honors Fujitsu for Its Compact & Speedy Duplex Scanner

San Jose, CA, May 1, 2003 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced that CMP Media's Transform Magazine selected Fujitsu's fi-4530C departmental duplex color scanner as a "Transform Best of AIIM 2003" winner, specifically acknowledging its 'ledger scanning and compact footprint' as standout features.

The Fujitsu fi-4530C was introduced at the AIIM 2003 Exposition and Conference in New York City. The new scanner was the only scanning solution selected as an award winner this year, following Transform's editorial staff, analysts and consultants' review and evaluation of a myriad of products and technologies that were exhibited at the conference.

The Fujitsu fi-4530C redefines departmental scanning by bringing decentralized, high quality image capture to the desktop at a highly competitive price. The scanner connects via SCSI or High-Speed USB, and it features production-level capabilities including state-of-the-art ultrasonic doublefeed detection. The scanner is equipped with Adobe® Acrobat® 5.0 software to convert any document to an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file.
