Fujitsu Imaging Products Group Launches New Service Reseller Loyalty Program
Service Star Alliance Program Marks a First for Company and Its Resellers; Fujitsu Reduces Pricing of Advance Exchange Service
New York, NY, April 8, 2003 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today launched a new service reseller loyalty program -- the Service Star Alliance. The tiered channel incentive program, the first of its kind for Fujitsu's Imaging Products Group (IPG), is dedicated to rewarding and recognizing Fujitsu service resellers for growth and performance achievements. Through the Service Star Alliance, value added resellers (VARs) earn financial incentives, marketing and business development support, quarterly rebates, priority technical support, and awards based on sales and performance milestones.
Fujitsu also announced a significant price reduction to its Advance Exchange service program for the workgroup segment customers. The Advance Exchange program provides customers with a next-day replacement product before the return of a failed or broken device. Now, customers can purchase an In-Limited-Warranty Advance Exchange upgrade contract for only $59 (U.S. list) and a Post-Limited-Warranty Advance Exchange contract for only $99 (U.S. list) annually.
"The Service Star Alliance program and Advance Exchange price reduction demonstrate the continued level of importance Fujitsu has placed on its investment to loyal service resellers and customer service," said Reza Majidansari, vice president, engineering and customer care center, Imaging Products Group, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "At the end of the day it is the customer experience that drives the success of both Fujitsu's business and the livelihood of our service resellers. Today's announcement speaks volumes to Fujitsu's unrelenting dedication to our strategic services business."
Service Star Alliance
The Service Star Alliance program broadens the breadth and depth of Fujitsu's service and support for loyal VARs. With the new earned incentive program, channel partners are recognized and rewarded for their performance and growth achievements. Service Star Alliance provides resellers with financial incentives, quarterly rebates, marketing communications and business development support funds for advertising and marketing collateral, including e-mail campaigns, web recognition for top sales, press releases, and annual awards, and through a toll-free VAR priority hotline access to Fujitsu's Technical Assistance Center. Service Star Alliance is immediately available to all Fujitsu IPG resellers.
Advance Exchange
In the unlikely event of a hardware failure, Fujitsu's Advance Exchange program provides advanced replacement before the return of a failed or broken device. Advance Exchange is offered post-limited warranty or as an upgrade on select products during the standard limited-warranty period. To be eligible for the Advance Exchange replacement program, the purchaser must sign an Advance Replacement agreement to secure the replacement product.
