Fujitsu To Present On Document Imaging Capture And Preservation At AIIM 2003 Conference and Exposition

San Jose, CA, April 1, 2003 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced that Don McMahan, vice president of sales, Imaging Products Group and Pamela Doyle, director, Imaging Products Group spokesperson, will present on several document imaging topics during AIIM 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, April 7-9.

McMahan will participate on the "Capture" track focusing on "Trends & Best Practices in Scanning & Imaging" on April 7 at 12:15 p.m. EST.   In this session, McMahan, along with spokespeople from Bell & Howell and Eastman Kodak Company, zero in on their views of the right solutions for today's imaging and capture needs. From heightened awareness of data integrity and security, to an increasingly wired economy, this session will explore the many factors fueling explosive new demand for imaging solutions in government, healthcare, finance, and other business applications.  McMahan will share innovative customer solutions, including how the U.S. military is rapidly building-out document imaging solutions to assist in everything from military recruiting to national security; how one of the nation's largest pharmacies is digitizing paperwork to speed processing and build customer satisfaction; and how a leading retail brokerage is using distributed imaging solutions to meet the needs of the retail outlet and the centralized recordkeeping requirements of the company's headquarters.

Doyle will participate on the "Preserve" track focusing on "Document Imaging: Perceptions & Realities of Records Management & Regulatory Compliance" on April 8 at 2:00 p.m. EST.  When the security of vital information is lost or destroyed, it can mean instant business failure. From home offices to educational institutions to the White House, today's organizations must be able to protect and share information, including irreplaceable intellectual property.  In addition, the SEC and Congress are defining regulations that will require organizations to be more forthcoming with their financial and business documents, requiring a new way to manage and save this information.  In this session, Doyle will explore her views on how to meet the challenge by including document imaging in the data retrieval and preservation process.  Attendees will learn how document imaging can become a competitive edge as it speeds up business processes to reduce labor and enhance business-to-business communications.
