Fujitsu Partners With Adobe To Ship Acrobat 5.0 With All Scanners

Partnership Makes Fujitsu First Imaging Vendor To Bundle Adobe's Award-Winning Acrobat 5.0 Software With Its Entire "fi" Scanner Line

San Jose, CA, August 12, 2002 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners, today announced a strategic partnership with Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE), the leader in network publishing, to bundle Adobe® Acrobat® 5.0 software with all Fujitsu "fi" series scanners shipping within the U.S.

The addition of Acrobat 5.0 to Fujitsu's award-winning "fi" scanner product family allows users to convert any document to an Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) file, the defacto file format in many industries including government and business applications.
