Fujitsu Broadens Channel Commitment With Partner Force Program
Company Delivers Unmatched Value to Storage Solution Providers and VARs
San Jose, CA, March 18, 2002 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), one of the world's leading suppliers of hard drives and computer peripherals, today announced its new Partner ForceTM Program, one of the hard disk drive (HDD) industry's most aggressive support efforts designed for storage solution providers and value added resellers (VARs). Fujitsu's new Partner Force Program will offer unsurpassed pre-sales, post-sales, and technical support to the company's partners and is designed specifically to suit the various business models within that partner community.
Fujitsu unveiled the new Partner Force Program at CMP's Solution Provider XChange in New Orleans last week. In addition to launching its Partner Force Program, Fujitsu demonstrated its SCSI and Fibre Channel enterprise hard drives, 2.5" IDE drives, and magneto-optical (MO) drives.
"Fujitsu's Partner Force Program essentially delivers cradle-to-grave value to our solution providers and VARs and boldly underscores Fujitsu's commitment to its channel partners," said Lorne Wilson, vice president of channel sales and marketing at Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. "That commitment, along with Fujitsu's technical and product superiority, were the key factors behind our seventeen-fold growth in the enterprise HDD channel market during 2001 and the Partner Force Program will no doubt afford us ample opportunity to enjoy the same levels of success in coming years."
The Partner Force Program is designed to provide a growing storage partner community with pre- and post-sales support, as well as a variety of ongoing technical support mechanisms. Fujitsu understands that business environments are fluid and undergo constant change to meet customer demand. FCPA's channel partners are dedicated to deploying best-of-breed solutions and now, with Fujitsu's new Partner Force Program, have a support network to meet the demands of their customers.
Partner Force Pre-Sales Support
FCPA's new Partner Force Program was developed to provide support from product inception to product deployment. Interoperability testing with leading component manufacturers allows customers to receive solutions that are pre-configured reducing time of deployment. With these objectives in mind, the company designed its new "Firmware And Compatibility Testing (FACT) Lab" - a real-world testing environment for product evaluation with a mission to solve problems, answer questions and build and design solutions with the industry's leading component and system manufacturers.
"Dot Hill was founded on the belief that close relationships with its vendor partners ultimately benefit the customers we serve," said Dana Kammersgard, chief technology officer, Dot Hill. "By working with Fujitsu's program management team and through the utilization of FACT lab, Dot Hill addressed potential interoperability challenges before the integration process began, which ultimately resulted in a decrease in time-to-market of our data storage solutions."
Partner Force Post-Sales And Technical Support
The cornerstone of FCPA's post-sales support is a continued dialogue with solution providers to ensure their customers' ongoing satisfaction. As part of this post-sales support, Fujitsu offers one of the industry's most comprehensive technical support programs that includes:
- Devoted compatibility support managers
- Website support including product training, education and product literature
- Field support from technical specialists
- 800-number support from highly trained Fujitsu representatives
