Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. Receives 'Best of AIIM 2001' Award for New Scanner

Fujitsu fi-4750C Named Best in Midrange Color Capable Category By Transform Magazine

San Jose, CA, June 11, 2001 — Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc. (FCPA), a market leader in document imaging scanners, today announced it has received a "Best of AIIM 2001" award in the midrange color capable scanner category from CMP Media's Transform Magazine (formerly Imaging & Document Solutions), a publication for business and IT managers with expertise in content and collaboration technologies. The winning production-level fi-4750C scanner was one of three scanners in FCPA's new scanner line that was announced at the Association for Information and Image Management's (AIIM) annual conference during early May.

Evolutionary technology and evolutionary thinking was the driving force at AIIM 2001 in New York City, according to Henschen. The fi-4750C, which is already shipping and serving a valuable niche in the market, scans photographs, drawings, maps, books, magazines, catalogs and delicate documents easily on the flatbed. The production-level unit provides single and double-sided scanning in bitonal, grayscale or color. Through the 100-page automatic document feeder it has bitonal speeds of 50 pages per minute (ppm), 90 images per minute (ipm) at 200 dpi, and color speeds of 20 ppm, 40 ipm at 150 dpi.
