Fujitsu Features New Product Performance Demos at OFC/NFOEC Conference
Sunnyvale, CA, February 17, 2006 — Fujitsu today announced that it will feature two product performance demonstrations in its booth (#2158) at the OFC/NFOEC Conference. The demos will highlight the world's first commercially available, 10Gigabit XFP-type optical transceiver for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, and a full-band tunable, 300-pin MSA transponder.
One demo system will show the stability of its pluggable, DWDM XFP optical transceiver after 80km single-mode fiber transmission. This demonstration will confirm that the Fujitsu transceiver is capable of transporting a clean signal at high-speeds over a long transmission path in an XFP package.
To highlight its full-band tunable, 300-pin MSA transponder, Fujitsu will feature a demo system that allows conference attendees to vary the output wavelength and observe the output waveform, in real-time, on a sampling oscilloscope. This exercise will illustrate the module’s flexibility through full coverage of the C- and L-bands while maintaining signal quality.
Other optical products on display in the Fujitsu booth will include: 10Gb/s and 40Gb/s variable chromatic dispersion compensators using virtual imaged phased arrays, single-drive 12.5Gb/s and low-drive voltage 40Gb/s LiNbO3 external modulators, pluggable transceivers (XFP/SFP/X2/XENPAK), and optical transceivers and bi-direction optical devices (BIDI) for PON.
