Fujitsu Offers Updated Windows® Drivers for Compact Thermal Printers
Sunnyvale, CA, September 20, 2005 — Fujitsu Components America, Inc. announced an update of downloadable Windows® drivers for its thermal printer units, mechanisms and subassemblies. Customers can access the drivers from the company’s website at http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/edevices/components/printers/drivers.html.
The drivers optimize the printer’s performance when working in a Windows environment. They permit the printing of bar codes, data, graphics or special characters, which are built into the thermal printer, in different Windows applications.
Fujitsu has the following driver software available to download: Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, and Windows Pocket PC. These include USB, serial and parallel drivers.
The Windows drivers apply to Fujitsu’s current thermal printer product series, when using both the mechanism and I/F board, FTP-627, -637 series; FTP-628, -638 series; FTP-628WSL; FTP-629, -639 series, and FTP-639USL.
Fujitsu’s 24-volt and battery-operated thermal printers provide rapid, quiet printing for various applications including medical and scientific instrumentation, point-of-sale, kiosks, transportation and field sales. The printers, which are available in 2-inch, 3-inch and 4-inch sizes, can be purchased with optional interface boards and with or without auto-cutters.
