Fujitsu Receives Sun's "Best in Class" Award

Sunnyvale, CA, October 4, 2004 — Citing "exceptional performance in delivering the best customer value and highest product quality," Sun Microsystems Inc., presented Fujitsu Components America, Inc., with a Best in Class award for Sun's fiscal year 2004.

The award recognizes parent company Fujitsu Component Limited of Tokyo, Japan, as Sun's outstanding supply leader in the keyboard and mouse product segment. Fujitsu manufactures the input devices for Sun workstations and server platforms.

"This award is given to suppliers who significantly contribute to customer satisfaction through outstanding achievements in the areas of cost, quality, leadtime and strategic technical capabilities," said Eugene McCabe, Sun's senior vice president of Worldwide Operations.
