Fujitsu Consulting and Project Assistants Announce Strategic Alliance to Produce a Market-leading IT Project Management Tool
Fujitsu and Project Assistants will jointly develop and launch an integrated enterprise project management and methodology solution
Edison, NJ, March 6, 2006 — Fujitsu Consulting today announced an alliance with Project Assistants, a leading provider of enterprise portfolio and project management consulting, development and training. Through this alliance, Fujitsu Consulting and Project Assistants will launch Macroscope® EPMSuite – a best-of-breed combination of Fujitsu’s market-leading Macroscope methodology, and Project Assistants’ KnowledgeCentral enterprise project management tool.
The joint solution, Macroscope EPMSuite, is being designed to instill a tighter project management discipline and a standardized approach to systems delivery. The intended business impact of this approach is to reduce project and maintenance costs and to accelerate the path toward achieving measurable value. The offering is being built upon Microsoft’s Enterprise Project Management (EPM) technology platform.
“It is our desire to build an offering that will deliver business value faster and at a lower cost,” said Serge Deschamps, vice president, Macroscope and Knowledge Management, Fujitsu Consulting. “Ultimately, this collaboration between Fujitsu Consulting and Project Assistants will help our customers institutionalize project and program management best practices.”
Project Assistants’ CEO Gus Cicala offered these comments on the new alliance: “Our partnership will meet the challenge of combining best in class software engineering and project execution through an innovative integration of established Macroscope methodology and the KnowledgeCentral portal.” “Microsoft is extremely pleased to see valued partners such as Fujitsu Consulting and Project Assistants collaborate on a solution that will extend the Microsoft EPM platform to deliver real business value to our collective client base”, explained Michael Anguilo, General Manager of the Microsoft Project Product Group.
“Fujitsu Consulting and Project Assistants have track records of innovation and market leadership - allowing them to develop outstanding offerings such as the Macroscope EPMSuite. The business solution is also a showcase for Microsoft technology and how it can help address pressing business-specific needs.”
This alliance reflects Fujitsu Consulting’s strategy to develop key alliances with value-added, industry leading technology providers to further enhance Macroscope’s project delivery capabilities.
