Fujitsu Consulting Integrates TRIOLE Strategy to Enhance Service and Solution Offerings
Fujitsu Consulting to combine TRIOLE strategy with its Macroscope methodology to build agile, heterogeneous IT infrastructures with improved total cost of ownership
Edison, NJ, May 25, 2004 — Fujitsu Consulting today announced that it will leverage the Fujitsu group's TRIOLE™ strategy for IT optimization in combination with its existing award-winning Macroscope® methodology to build additional benefits into its best-in-class solutions, quality delivery and project management capabilities.
TRIOLE, developed in Japan and now being rolled out worldwide, is a proven approach for planning, building, deploying and managing heterogeneous, agile IT environments. Based on pre-tested and characterized templates, TRIOLE will provide ready-to-run, preassembled IT infrastructure building blocks capable of adjusting to changing business needs and enabling Fujitsu Consulting clients to benefit from the most advanced IT infrastructure.
TRIOLE provides proven IT infrastructure solutions that are differentiated by the manner in which Fujitsu has combined and implemented three core technological areas in which it has leading-edge expertise: integration, virtualization and automation.
Virtualization separates applications and data from dedicated systems. Automation refers to the autonomic self-healing and adaptation of IT infrastructure to meet changing business needs. Integration readiness provides fast, low cost and low risk implementation of technologies across the full IT infrastructure spectrum, including server, storage, network and middleware elements.
Fujitsu has applied these core concepts to develop pre-verified templates, called Platform-integration Templates (or Pi Templates) that speed the construction of highly reliable open-system installations. The result is the most flexible IT infrastructure with significantly lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
By linking Macroscope and TRIOLE, Fujitsu Consulting will bring additional capability to its IT consulting, planning, application development, systems integration, project and program management services and capabilities.
With pre-validated Pi Templates, Fujitsu Consulting can accelerate the development of IT infrastructures for clients, supporting today's dynamic business environment while significantly reducing risk, achieving improved reliability and seamless connectivity amongst disparate multi-vendor and multi-architected systems.
"By combining TRIOLE with Macroscope, Fujitsu Consulting reduces time-to-solution, lowers deployment risk and delivers on our promise of relentless cost reduction for our clients," said Steve Kirchoff, Executive Vice President, Fujitsu Consulting, North America. "We are enabling our clients to use change as a strategic weapon, distancing them from competitors and benefiting their bottom line."
TRIOLE-related Product and Service Enhancements
Focusing on the core technological areas of integration, virtualization and automation, Fujitsu continues to strengthen the capabilities and agility of TRIOLE-enhanced solutions at the component, module, individual product and overall system resource pool levels. The company places particular emphasis on augmenting middleware offerings to respond to customer needs for increased integration and enhancing automation capabilities to assure system stability. Other benefits will enable customers to speed business growth and operations and reduce risk and total cost of ownership while building new applications with faster time-to-market. In addition, the company continues to enhance overall reliability and reinforce the interconnectivity of key Fujitsu server, storage, network and middleware offerings under TRIOLE, with particular emphasis on augmenting the integration features and functionality.
